Cato Networks to Present a Network Breach Simulation at NDC Security 2025

Cato CTRL to demonstrate how threat actors execute network attacks

TEL AVIV, Israel, January 9, 2025 Cato Networks, the SASE leader, today announced that Avishay Zawoznik (security research manager at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL) will present at NDC Security 2025 in Oslo, Norway, which is an event for software developers with a focus on security.

The session, “Start covering your bases and stop chasing APT headlines” (Thursday, January 23 at 9:00 AM CET), will present a simulation of a full network breach, from initial access, to discovery, lateral movement and finally exfiltration. The session will demonstrate how attackers execute such attacks, without the need for tailor-made and sophisticated tools or techniques.

“The key takeaway from my presentation is that the news about novel attacks is not what we commonly see in the wild, and defenders shouldn’t be distracted by it,” said Avishay Zawoznik, security research manager at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL. “Instead, defenders should focus on run-of-the-mill attacks. An example of such an attack is what I’ll present at the conference.”
